Olga Boczar

Olga Boczar – vocalist, songwriter, associate professor in the field of musical arts, singing lecturer. 

Her third original album, “Oddycham,” featuring lyrics by Julian Tuwim, has been recognized by critics as one of the most beautifully sung jazz albums in the Polish market in recent years, and it premiered in October 2023. The album “Tęskno mi tęskno,” released in 2018 and inspired by Polish folk music, was ranked among the top 10 Polish albums of 2018 according to Axunarts. She was nominated for the prestigious Fryderyki 2016 award for the album “Little Inspirations” in the category of “Fonographic Debut of the Year.” 

She creates bands and projects with many top musicians on both the Polish and European stages, performing in philharmonics, theaters, radio music studios, important stages and music clubs, at festivals, and during solo concerts, mentioning a few such as the International Festival “Jazz Jamboree” in Warsaw, the 50th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, with the Eu Jazz Express formation in Budapest, at the TEDXZurich conference in Zurich, at Kunsthaus in Zurich, a solo concert at the invitation of the President of Poland at the Belweder Palace in Warsaw, and with the Istvan Gyarfas Trio during Jazz Fest Buda Pest in Budapest, among many  . 

In addition to performing on stage, she has recorded for many radio stations and television programs, and her original compositions have been played in various countries, including the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Norway, Portugal, and Germany. 

She has been a lecturer for many years in the musical specialization at the Vocal and Acting Department of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and in the singing specialization in the Jazz and Popular Music program at the University of Rzeszów.
